ARAU, Aug 16: The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail has advised pilgrims performing the haj to be patient in facing any obstacles while in the holy land.
He said the presence of millions of Muslims in Mekah from all over the world would see all kinds of human traits and behaviour that demanded patience.
"In whatever circumstances, we have to accept these (obstacles) as a test from Allah," he said.
Tuanku Syed Sirajauddin was officiating the Perlis state level 2014 Perdana Haji course at Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin in Pauh, near here Friday night.
Also present was the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.
A total of 340 Muslims from Perlis had been selected by Tabung Haji to perform the haj this year. – BERNAMA
